Simple Everyday Make-Up Products

So everyone has their own make up routine, some simpler than others, some with more products than others, high end products, drug store products; everyone's different. Personally for me and my everyday look, I like to go simple with products that are affordable however still create the look I want effectively. I'm not really one to wear high end products as for drug store work just as well. My skin is naturally alright and I rarely ever get spots, so foundation isn't that much of an necessity for me. I generally react to some foundations as they irritate my skin so I do have to be careful all in all.
None the less these products I use daily are great, and do the job! The products I use sometimes change, but for now this is what I use.
Firstly.. After I moisture I use

This foundation is brilliant and for me leaves my skin very radiant and glowy. It has a subtle shimmer to it but that what makes it so great! It doesn't have a heavy coverage but I don't particularly need that anyway, nevertheless it does do what it says on the bottle; it does really make you awake. I use it mainly on my inner cheeks, nose, forehead and chin as they are the areas that need 'perking up' as it were. This foundation is available in most drug stores and online and is totally affordable. I highly recommended this to you!

I then use the BM Beauty Finishing Powder, which I have recently switched to from a No7 powder. It works really well with the Rimmel Foundation leaving your skin look healthy and fresh and my face just feels so soft! A little goes along way and gives you a very flawless finish and you can just use this instead of foundation but sometimes I feel its just not enough so just target the powder all over. I got this in my Glossy Box but you can purchase this from the online BM beauty store.
I then contour my eyes with a little bit of bronzer. This is just a big standard bronzer as any works well for a subtle emphasis on the cheek bones and for me works really well. I use the lighter shade as the other side is far to dark! I simply aim it on my cheek bones not coming down the face to far and up my temples, just to create definition and give me a more slender face! So that's the face done!

Then onto the eyes where I just go really simple. This eyeliner is fantastic, everything I need in a eyeliner. It gives you great definition and I love to do a wing effect so the small nib of the pen gives great precision and the thicker edge to fill in and apply the colour. Soap and Glory generally do amazing products and thought why not try this and its by far the best eyeliner I've used! It's ranged in £6/7 mark I believe which is great and actually lasts a really long time!
To complete my eyes a few coats of the NYC High Definition Volume Mascara, just to fill out the eyes and make them voluminous and stand out. I feel this really brings out my eyes and makes the most of my lashes. I only apply this to my top lashes as I don't tend to wear mascara on my lower lashes (I feel I look ridiculous)! Depending on how many coats you use determines how thick you want them, 2 is enough for me and I feel just gives you an extra edge.

Lastly, nothing is complete without some colour to the lips. This is the Sleek Lipstick in colour Candy Cane! Its a gorgeous colour and very pigmented! I tend to just lightly dab the colour on and use a lip brush to distribute it if i'm going for a simple look but want something to brighten up my lips! Its durability is great and last ages and completes the look perfectly. I got this also with my GlossyBox but obviously Sleek will sell this i believe on their website also!

GlossyBox 2013: Detox Edition

Hello Everyone! This is the first GlossyBox of 2013 so it was only right of me if I make a post on it!

Eco Boutique: Body Lotion with Aloe Leaf and Green Tea
This Body Lotion is very refreshing and smooth, and feels great on the skin after a shower/bath. Its a very natural smell as Aloe Leaf is a primary scent for anything fresh and organic, its also brilliant for the skin! I think this is perfect especially after this spell of cold weather where your skin can become dry and needs a bit of TLC.

BM Beauty: Dewy Perfection Finishing Powder
This very fine powder is a great way to create that dewy effect on the skin to give it a bit of life! It has a gentle glow and settles in the skin making you look healthy and really alive (if that makes sense). You can either use it as a top powder on Foundation or just as a highlighter depending on the look you are going for! BM beauty products in all are great quality and give you a great finish, as I have tried a bronzing powder also! Recommend this.

Monu: Micro Exfolioant
Too add into your morning and night routine this exfolioant gives you instant radiance from the first wash I found. My personal skin care routine isn't that extensive, I feel on its own this would do a great job (for me personally)! The fragrance is fresh and natural and leaves the skin feeling soft and a great starting point to put make up on afterwards.

Murad: HydroDynamic Ultimate Moisture For Eyes
This is a great eye cream that does exactly what it says on the box! Its completely hydrating and my eye area  is a lot smoother and you can definitely tell the difference. It makes you look so awake even before applying makeup. I haven't tried it with another product yet but I think it would work well with the Murad Primer on top! I shall give it a go! The full size of this product is £57!! It must be doing some good!

Sanctuary Spa: Active Reverse Thermal Transformation Mask
For me most face masks have the same results and so I don't tend to use them often. I haven't used this yet but I am intrigued. It creates a heat warming effect on the skin and there are 2 steps to complete. It states in the leaflet that you can only really see a considerable difference after 4 weeks, which I doubt this sample will last 2, but I shall try it and see if I get any immediate effects. Have any of you guys used/tried this?

So.. that's all for this months GlossyBox and I am actually really impressed even though it was all skin based. Its refreshing to have something different and now I reckon this will change my outlook on skin care and make me pay a bit more attention to it. I always thought I had pretty decent skin but with a bit of TLC there are products that can make it a little bit more fresh and appear healthy!
If you receive the Glossy Box what did you guys get? Anything similar? Would love to know and compare products!

Thankyou for reading!

Review- Models Own Nail Polish

Hi Guys!
This is my first blog post of 2013, just thought i'd share a quick review with you of some Nail Polishes, particularly the Models Own polishes.

After hearing good things from friends and others blog posts I thought I would give them a trial.

Left to Right: Lemon Meringue, Nude Beige, Coral Reef, Lilac Dream, Hedkandi Beach Party

These 5 are completely my colours and love the mixture of a couple pastel yet contrasted with bright neon 'stand out' colours.
The Lemon Meringue is very subtle, a great spring colour I feel and will go with any pastel outfits yet it does appear slightly bright on the nail but its a lovely colour!

Nude Beige is a very sophisticated colour and goes well with any outfit! I found it a great Winter colour as nude and toupe colours are a popular winter accent!

Coral Reef on the other hand is a bright, eye popping polish. Looks great with a tan and is generally a great colour! I love this and definitely recommend it!

Lilac Dream is another pastel colour which is very feminine and a lovely hint of colour if you wanted to wear just a plain outfit! Its a very spring colour!

Last but not least Beach Party which is part of the HedKandi Range. An extremely bright (the pictures don't do it justice!!) amazing orange that will look great in the Summer. Even though i'm wearing it right now.. in January.. oh well :) If your going to a pool party, on Holiday to somewhere exotic, this colour will reflect it brilliantly! 100% my summer nail polish!

As the Nail Polish go, they are awesome! They glide on perfectly, normally only 1 coat is needed the more subtle colours sometimes 2. They don't chip instantly at least 3-4 days before any signs of colour disappearing. They are great quality in general. They are fairly pricey but all 5 of these cost £5 each. There obviously is a great range on the Model Own website, so definitely check it out! All in all I love these polishes! Very impressed and will be purchasing again!

I'm back! (Everyday Makeup)

Hello everyone, i'm back! Been super busy with University exams and have my exams back (I passed, yay!) , but I am done for summer now, so blog posts will be more regular now!)
I thought i'd bring it back with a makeup post, on what I wear for my everyday makeup!
To be honest, its hardly anything as you will see, but i'm not one for wearing loads of makeup everyday!

Mascara: False lash Telescopic, Blusher: BeautyUK,
Highlight/Eyeshadow: MUA, Bronzer: BM Mineral Bronzer
Mascara:
I love this mascara! Its completely my everyday 'go-to' mascara.
For me, it totally looks like I have false eyelashes on, so its perfect for in the daytime and nighttime, but doesn't look to over the top! This also just makes me not even need eyeliner. I feel this mascara is all I need!
Blusher:
This blusher is great! Very pigmented, but depends how much you use depending on the look you want. When I want a subtle rosey look I use very little, but also for when i'm dancing in shows, it can create a very dramatic look! It was also very inexpensive, about £2 I think.
Bronzer:
This is by BM beauty, which I got in my Glossybox, but I definitely will be getting another one! It leaves a lovely golden glow, and I prefer it so much when I haven't got foundation on. It strangely complements my freckles and makes me look very natural! Also, a little goes a long way!
Highlight/Eyeshadow:
This MUA product is formally a eyeshadow, but I tend not to use it as that. It works perfectly as higlight, on the tops of the cheeks, under the brow and on the cupids bow of the lip! Its a lovely natural beige colour, but when put on blends right in with the skin, leaving a subtle shimmer! This too very inexpensive!

Overall, I feel these products are very inexpensive, yet are great for a natural/everyday look. I do feel this will change for me in the winter months, but for the summer this works perfectly!
What are your everyday makeup products? Have you tried any of mine?
